Early Years!

Spent my Childhood years on ,& around RAF Cosford, where my father was a Sgt.Tech Instuctor.This as after WW2 where he had spent time as Sgt Ground crew with 625 Sqn (Lancasters) at Raf Kelstern Lincolnshire.He later went back to Civilian Instructor at Cosford & later on to School Teaching. Later he was commisioned in the RAF VR/T as F/O.& spent some years as 2 I/c 2224 Albrighton Sqn ATC. I remember me & most of my friends had the run of the airbase (About 1953-59) Security was quite lax as WW2 was over & the Cold War had not yet become a big issue.I joined the Air Cubs, used the swimming baths, Astra cinema, Camp & Air field (When no one was looking)…..Will post more later…….;)
