Does anybody know where I can gain access to – hardcopy or scan – the Society of British Aircraft Constructors Standards Handbook(s).
There are several volumes. I have just started looking and so far have found this – see screengrab below… This came from…
I’m not a reddit user and figured I will look around a bit more before signing up because the post is 4 years old – I couldn’t see any responses from the original poster to indicate what they did with the volumes. I have quite a few places I am working through – no luck with RAeS library for example.
The immediate need is because I’m trying to figure out the difference between the AS2121 and AS2141 pilot’s seats. For all I know, AS2121 may just be part of the AS2141 – such as being the moulded assemblage without metal bits. Happy to hear from anyone who can answer this particular question without the access to the handbooks. I have wanted to look at AS dwgs/specs for other reasons over the past decades. It has come to a head (no appropriate pun here?!) with the pilot’s seat.
I did discuss Vampire AS2141 seats with Farlam Airframes and Terry Parker on the forum in the past. Thought this last point might jog some memories – in case it helps!
