I still struggle with Americans calling aeroplanes ships.

There was a post on WIX a few years ago about a particular carrier landing and the problem of getting the ship on the ship…

Yes, there seem to be a lot in the U.S., one (PZ206?) was the aircraft composer James Horner was killed in back in 2015.

I thought I saw one at our local GA field, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a RCAF aircraft, it seems they do a lot of cross country work in the USA, the pilot told me it was due to wanting to train pilots to handle higher traffic levels.

(Also, cheaper fuel and if they stop at USAF bases, nice accommodations). 🙂

A few weeks layer, a three ship flight landed. The mission commander was a USAF exchange pilot who was soon to be posted to the nearby base.

Nothing mysterious at all: there are a lot of Tucanos for sale and/or on the US register. I’d imagine these heading the same way.

A mate of mine, who lives in the Cambridge area, says he saw 6 Tucano’s on three trucks also Eastbound on the A14. He can’t remember the date but it was either 10 or 11 Jun 24. Something strange going on!!
