Interesting development on the AN-12. The IVW (Inspectie Verkeer & Waterstaat, the Dutch aviation autorities) have grounded the antonov. The reasons provided by the IVW include:
- Fuel leakage;
- Fire extinghuishers had not been inspected for too long a time;
- Navigation maps where out of date;
- Freight consisted of hazardous materials for which no permit had been granted (car batteries).
