The time together is coming to an end.

Hope that has your attention.
The Vincent is returning to its home base in August(date to be confirmed).
I understand that it will be making an appearance with the fuselage reunited with the centre section, making a display fit for royalty.

This will give anyone lucky to see this, the opportunity to appreciate the size of this magnificent machine

Having previously stood next to both of them separately, the coverage does a poor job of conveying the size of them!

I will see them in a couple of months (assuming the escorted tour takes us there), I’m going down from Auckland as I want to see the 100 years exhibition (and will also visit the Mosquito at Ferrymead).

I was at the RNZAF museum in christchurch and on the hanger tour caught a view of these 2 Vickers machines together.

The Vincent (in the brown/ green scheme) in on loan from the owner for 12 months to guide the RNZAF team as they work on the museum collection Vildebeast.

There has been a bit of publicity coming out with stories in local media

(link replaced)

I don’t live in Christchurch but would seriously think about a trip down if it makes it

onto its centre section as seen in this youtube video (Not mine)
