WW2 Seat Identification Help??

I was cleaning out my grandads garage and my dad found this item, which grandad had said for years his dad had salvaged from a ww2 plane possible gunners seat.. I’ve researched ww2 aircraft seats and can’t find anything matching it. ( I’m also a little sceptical myself) but was hoping someone might recognise it and be able to help me.
