Gone West…

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Col. Avi. Eric Vormezeele.

He took off for his last flight on Dec 18th.
Eric was the pioneer of Belgian historic aviation and, more in particular, of the warbird movement in Belgium.

He leaves us with an inspiring legacy for future generations.
RIP, Dad!

77 years later, we are sitting with Eric Vormezeele, the protagonist of this story. Not in a fruit box, but surrounded by a real Spitfire, Hurricane, … in different stages of construction. Behind the austere façade of a warehouse at the historic Brasschaat airfield, his son Frédéric founded the ambitious company Flying Aces Services and Training (FAST Aero for short). A father-and-son conversation with two illustrious figures from the Warbird world, with a passion for fighter aircraft.
