Vampire F Mk 1 VF300, RAF Merryfield.

Hi all

Does anyone know if there is a museum or association for RAF Merryfield in Somerset? Esspecialy associated with 208 Advanced Flying School.

I am finding this site all but impossible to use so please bare with me for replies!

Not sure what your wanting to find but Merryfield is covered by the book “Action Stations 5” It states that 208AFS arrived November 1951, was renamed 10FTS in 1954, changed to 9FTS and disbanded February 1955.

I assume your interest is in Vampire VF300 which crashed (fatal) near Yeovil 11th July 1952
