I’m the most recent link in a restoration chain that goes back 50 years.
Magnificent work by Vintech Aero and the Vintage Wings of Canada team at Gatineau. Kudos to Saskatchewan farmer Harry Whereatt who began this.
Mike Potter’s vision takes flight again.

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
I completed flights 2 and 3 on Friday. And the aeroplane is still useable 😉

Amazing stuff as always Dave, and thank you for adding text to explain what various procedures were for. I love modern camera technology – especially when used for something like this!

Brilliant stuff Dave, I hope your helmetcam footage is made available as it would be fascinating to watch. How wonderful to get such an in-depth look not just at the history represented but also the preparation, and execution, of the initial test flight. Bravo to everyone involved in this wonderful endeavour!

My pleasure.
I refuse to concede that Facebook and instant social media pages have replaced websites… although I’m probably wrong. And my own website is always behind…

Great account Dave, a marvellous achievement by the whole team.
Your ongoing support of this forum is much appreciated by those working to expand its content and credibility, and bang up-to-date contributions from those at the ‘sharp-end’ are especially valuable.
