It looks as though a 14 page spam attack has just been zapped, very speedily !
Thanks, and well done.

A spam free weekend. Hurrah! Long may it continue thus.

I stand corrected. Well done, sometime in the last few hours it’s all gone.

You spoke too soon – another A hole has appeared.
Only just over one page so far but no doubt it will be the usual mid-teens before anything’s done about it on Monday.

But they are back again today although it is only one thread at the moment.

Good Heavens, only one spam post so far this weekend!

I think deep down they wanted rid of the forum hence this ugly setup.. and lack of support
If that’s so, why does someone at Key bother to clear out the spam? If Key want rid of this forum, surely leaving vast amounts of spam in place would be one of the surest ways of rendering it moribund and driving away the few people that now frequent it.

Here we go again. 14 pages as usual.

Yes why not use an existing forum platform like all other forum providers – it is crazy to have to keep manually clearing up spam attacks when all other forums already have automatic protection against this sort of thing – I just do not get it ??
This forum still operates like it is on Windows 95 – the spammers obviously know that key is an easy target.
The complete silence of any key administrators and no interaction with the forum members is very odd, they have not even enabled the moderators to do the general housekeeping necessary.
I am still as puzzled now as I was when key first changed to this absolutely inferior forum platform.

As Arnie said, ‘I’ll be back’!
Evidently the spammers think that they’ll be someone waiting for them at the weekend, so they’ve gone in early today.
One must assume that whilst Key is willing to deal with these spam attacks, it is not willing to take steps to prevent them. Is that not counter-intuitive?

I’m not holding my breath.

we’ll see

It looks as if someone is working the weekend watch!
Now all that is needed is a rework of the software to make it disproportionately difficult for the spammers (a) to clear the membership hurdles and (b) to be able to post their detritus on the forums – then, maybe, the weekend watch can be stood down or, alternatively, the powers of that watch can be delegated to the moderators?
