P-47 exhaust deflector

This piece just arrived from France. It was sooted up on arrival but cleaned relatively well. Definitely used.

It is the Starboard/RHS exhaust deflector from a P-47.

No aircraft identity but it was found on an airfield in Lorraine – Etain Rouvres where the 362nd fighter group were based in November 44 to April 45 and they were flying P-47.

These deflectors don’t appear on the earlier models of P-47 so I assume from bubble top D onwards.
