Even more spam

Yet more spam, disguised as real posts and added to the end of ancient threads.

Surely it can’t be rocket science to make it more difficult to register.

Key managed to make it harder to log in with out even trying.

With respect to those who’ve posted on this thread and the similar threads which have preceded it, I have to ask why anyone is bothering to do so. To me it appears that Key Publishing has made its position perfectly clear, which is that it doesn’t give a damn about this forum, its moderators or its members. The forum seems to have become a magnet for spam, presumably as a result of it being so easy for spammers to register as members and post, straight away, in an unfettered manner. Those spammers seem to have realised that such oversight as there is, of this forum, is on a Monday to Friday and a nine to five basis and thus the spam arrives on a Friday night and subsists at least until a Monday morning. But do we hear anything from Key Publishing regarding what is going on? No, we do not. There is, and for some time has been, a deafening silence from it. Key Publishing seems not to care about how badly the malfunctioning of this forum reflects upon its brand – which makes it all the more incongruous that it allows the forum to subsist, in an almost moribund state, rather than just closing it down. So is there any point in continuing to complain publicy? It seems to be as profitable an exercise as spitting into the wind!

I am on quite a few different forums – this is the only one with this level of spamming 🙁

Come on Key – you used to have the best aviation forum in Britain – since the last ‘update’ you have had the worst forum in Britain – why not use the same forum platforms as others do – this present platform is absolutely useless and extremely amateur 🙁

What exactly is ‘efficient‘ about clearing up oceans of spam that had been there for nearly two days??

…or has ‘efficient’ become yet another word which has had its meaning watered down by ‘the evolution of the language‘?

How many more times does it have to happen before Key implement even the most basic level of spam filtering and moderator control.   Are they going to wait until their entire web prescence has been compromised?

The spammers dump their rubbish late on Friday or a Saturday morning, to give maximum exposure before staff return to work and clear it out.

It would surely make sense to give a moderator the means to do this straight away, and discourage them from bothering.   Also there must be automated systems that identify and block this sort malicious posting.

We know it is a feeble and unsatisfactory hosting system, but it must surely have some cyber -security functions ?
