Paid a visit to the Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum this weekend.
My biggest draw was, of course, Spitfire IIa P7540, which was recovered from Loch Doon about 40 years ago, and restored to static condition.
Lovely little place, though, with very friendly staff. Definitely going back!

Thanks Daz, it never occurred to me to look up Wiki. I appreciate your reply and looking at it they have a lot more stuff than I expected so it will definitely be on the cards for a visit.

I have always fancied giving it a look. Have they got much stuff exhibited apart from the Spitfire?, which would be my main attraction.
Most of the complete aircraft are exhibited outside, so don’t go expecting to see absolutely immaculate aircraft.
