fairey aviation firefly n8 1956

hello I am reaching here but maybe only you can help.I have a piece of aviation aluminium with the words ANDY N8 scratched into it. I know it was made at fairey aviation . it is inside a 1957 TT 125cc dustbin fairing that was ridden to 9th place by dudley eldin. I know the firefly was designated N8 and was retired in the uk in 1956. this is the year the fairing was made. it is my assumption that ANDY worked on the firefly project and as they were winding down he had time and available spare material to make the dustbin fairing. my question to you is… Is this a normal practice by aircraft workers of the time period? and two    Have you ever found N8 inside any panels on a firefly restoration and even more unlikely ANDY N8???  I would be so grateful if you had the time to reply. thanks in advance Lance Lawson 07884042115

number 19 is the fairing

Hi Lance

Sorry cannot help with any Fairey info but the riders name was Dudley Edlin (not Eldin).

Just a typo I know.
