Seemingly a Valiant air command plane. In fairly recent times underwent a full restoration.
Looks like a well-handled emergency.
More details to follow.

A rather sobering video summary here, speculative, highly provocative but might turn out to be prophetic.
The basic message is ‘warbird operators ( in the US in this discussion) need to shape up pretty quick if they want to avoid major intervention by the FAA.

Very well done, and we can hope that choosing the water will result in it being back in the air that much sooner. You can bet that those beach-goers will have something to talk about for a longggggg time.
Looking at the videos closely, it appears this Avenger has been painted in the markings of USN Lt. Charles C. Taylor, leader of the infamous Flight 19.

Somewhat surprised that the canopy wasn’t open for the ditching.

Thankfully I can’t imagine there’ll be too much more injured than pride. Bit of a sod for the owners, though.
