Earlier today, I found this B-17G Field Service Manual in a local thrift shop! Now, I’ve gone through the entire manual. Happily, it’s complete, but an odd thing is I can’t find a date anywhere in it. So, I’m wondering, would this manual have been published during the war, or post-war, or…?

The same document on Avialogs has on page 5 -an issue No. 926 and a date of Jan 1 1945
