B-17G in Adriatic sea – Italy

Hello to everyone and thanks for subscribing to the group. I need help to identifying a B17 G found in Adriatic Sea near Rimini (Italy) at 20 m deep. The discovery  was made by a team of “Dive Planet Rimini” (https://diveplanet.org/). The wreck is upside down and the visibility is always bad. In the last dive a piece with a serial number was found near the turbocharger. Does anyone know if it is possible from this to trace the identity of the plane? I attach some photos.
