The Lost Graves of Peenemünde – Book

A new book released earlier this month details the search for the graves of fifteen missing airmen from the Peenemünde raid and gives the personal stories of the boys, details of the loss and the present day search to locate them. It contains unpublished photographs and many documents including German and Allied documents and the German KE records which are very rare. The fifteen are recorded at Runymede despite their burial by the German military and the notification of the graves via the Totenlisten. The Russians prevented access to Peenemünde after the war and since then it has been conveniently forgotten.
