Halifax Halton G-A H D

The above aircraft was leased from Aviation Traders and flew over 430 sorties on the Berlin Airlift, lve been trying to find it’s original RAF serial number but to no avail, the Halifax was delivered to Aviation Traders in July 1948 and leased to Bond Air Services and after service was broken up in July 1951.  This information came from the excellent Southend Airport website. Is there any other source I could use please

Hello Brandisi

You are missing a letter from the registration but assuming the G-AHD part is correct it comes in a batch originally sold to BOAC in 1946 then sold on to Aviation Traders in 1948.

HDL was  RAF PP224

HDM was RAF PP228

HDN  was RAF PP234

HDO  was RAF PP236

HDP  was RAF PP268
