Aircraft skin edge cutting

I found what I believe could be a piece of aircraft skin on a WW2 Airfield, but I’m curious to know what would of made those serrated edges?

It is a very useful/easy way of facilitating Airframe Repairs,although one has to be careful not to drill through Frames/Ribs/Structure ?.

Good for odd shaped cutouts as well.Does involve large amounts of filing and sanding though..

Yes chain drilled Rob as posted above.

It is a standard way of cutting access holes etc in a/c skins.

Yep, drilled to cut and remove. Avoids those crinkle edges.
