These 2 hatches turned up in a Maltese scrapyard – their part number is PH12601 and they are about 30cm diameter. The owner would be grateful to know if they are from any ex RAF type as they almost certainly came from HalFar where some Hastings & DC3 at least were scrapped.

All sorts went over the cliff there after WW 2. ISTR that the first issue of Aircraft Illustrated contained a collection of images within its pages.

If they are aircraft parts – they should have other letters/numbers either Etched or Stamped into the metal somewhere.
There would normally be a Part Number plus an Inspection Stamp (quite often insp stamp would be inside a stamped circle/ellipse).
