Blackburn Dart T2 N9718

Does anyone have any history on this aircraft ? I have just been reading the history of Blackburn Aircraft and apart form requisitioned in May 1924 in a group of 10 – there is no other data visible.

I see that N9719 was used for smoke tests at FAE in 1927 but nothing on N9718.

Thank you

Thank you SIr.  Glad to hear a rational explanation.

Does anyone have any idea of the operational history of the naval N9718 ? Or alternatively apart from a trip to either Kew or Yeovil – where I can get it from ?

N9718 as applied to a Blackburn Dart was part of the Naval series of serials, used between 1916 and 1925, see here: http://ukserials.com/serials-older-00naval.htm

N9718 as applied to an Anson I was part of the ‘regular’ series of serials: http://ukserials.com/serials-older-0n.htm

Ok sorry. It’s just that number is in The Anson File and also in Avro Aircraft since 1908 as one of the 6th RAF production batch, N9713 to N9752.

I didn’t realise they duplicated serial numbers.

Hi FarlamAirframes,

N9718 is an Anson Mk.1  according to one of my books.
