Does anyone know of a corresponding Air Ministry type or ref number for this generator, or what type of engine/aircraft it was fitted to? From the data plate:
Type B1506 [B1507 overtyped]
ACW, 29V, 60A, 3000-6000 rpm, min cooling 50 cf/m
Origin: RCAF, but from a Sydney, Australia parts overhaul/supply company. Standard Aero o/h date: 1954.
It looks like a KX or KX-B generator.
Thanks.

Nicko,
I tried to send you a message through send private message but was unable to do it?
Do you still have gauges 6A/1871 & 6A/1596 available?
I need both of them for a project.
Thanks

Further information has come to light! According to my RCAF Vampire Mk.III Schedule of Servicing Spares, this aircraft was fitted with the KX and the RCAF ref number is 5U/389 with equivalent RAF ref number 5U/189.
Nice that someone managed to make Vampire, Lincoln and Lancaster generators common! (Even if the Canadians had to put a different number on them.)
Cheers.

Thanks aircraftclocks. I was running through Canadian/Australian aircraft possibilities for the 1950s in my head after making my post, and Lanc/Linc occurred to me.
Thanks muchly.

I have seen a reference on the net that advises that Rotax KX generator (5U/389), type B1506 is fitted to the Avro Lancaster / Lincoln.
