Sunday and Monday you need a museum entry ticket, per person. For premium members this entry is free. This has nothing to do with parking.
For Tuesday and Wednesday you need an event ticket, per person and a parking permit, per car.
There is no equivalent to the parking permit required for Sunday and Monday. The title is therefore misleading.

Yes you need parking tickets for those days (4th and 5th) as they are an event day and not a normal museum day. Sunday and Monday are just normal museum days and so the parking charge is included in the ticket entry price.
Members of IWM don’t pay for parking BUT you still need to apply,it is free but they want you to apply.

My understanding it as exactly as skeeler has stated, although not needing parking tickets for Sunday and Monday is by omission rather than a clear statement.
I too booked for Tuesday and Wednesday as soon as I received the first email and was able to book parking at that time.
I would certainly agree that, whilst the website is all arty crafty with the latest display formats, it does not present the important information in an easily accessible and clear way. Personally I do not consider that the correct place for important information is when it can only be found in the FAQs.
The email about needing tickets for Sunday and Monday only arrived on the day before we left for the area and I do not necessarily open emails on the day they are received.
It would also have been nice to know what the actual parking arrangements are for all four days, hope to find out tomorrow on our first visit.

I bought a ticket for the access and parking on the 4th and 5th off the Dak website, the parking tickets for both days were £5 each, I printed the Dak and parking tickets tonight. They were sold on the Daksovernormandy website.

It says nothing about having to get a parking tickets for Sunday or Monday, just standard entry tickets

I bought tickets for the 5th immediatly they went on sale, there was no car parking permit option & I haven’t found anyway of getting one so far.

OK so the orange booking segment for Monday is for no reason https://www.maximweb.net/ImperialWarMuseums/day/?eventconfig=3&_ga=2.11404528.556239097.1557228769-1094622031.1517570252&utm_source=IWM&utm_campaign=fb45a68e69-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_05_22_02_57&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f618c86a94-fb45a68e69-106593817&fbclid=IwAR1jEAwb20d4lHToclcPoyyWIarog—55p5Vdrn-DvVenVE-7mCbkYVMoU
“2-3 June 2019 All visitors will need to advance book to ensure we are able to provide the best experience across the two days leading up to the Daks over Duxford event. All IWM members are entitled to standard free entry into IWM Duxford as with normal general admission, but you will need to let us know you are intending to come by advance booking.” But i will leave it up to you to decide.

Yes, the TITLE of this thread is misleading – It says ‘Car parking at Duxford Monday – you need tickets’ – This gives the impression that you need a pre booked car parking ticket if you’re visiting Duxford on Monday. You don’t need a pre booked car parking ticket for Monday or Sunday as car parking is included with general admission.
If you are planning on visiting IWM Duxford on either Sunday 2/6 or Monday 3/6 you need a pre booked admission ticket even if you are a member/premium member, but the pre booked admission ticket is free if you are a member.
If you are attending the ‘Daks over Duxford’ event on 4/5 or 5/5 then you need to have a pre booked charged admission ticket whether or not you are a premium member and if you are going by car, a pre booked car parking ticket also.
If you are a ‘Sally B’ member it appears from above that you need to contact IWM Duxford to get access to the IWM Premium members ‘free ticket’ booking/download option for attendance on 2/6 or 3/6 but also have to pay for admission and car parking as with everybody else on 4/6 or 5/6.

From what I read and bought you need to buy a ticket in advanced for Sunday and Monday but the parking permits are for Tuesday and Wednesday
By: trumper - 31st May 2019 at 18:25
Is not the title of this slightly misleading – I booked tickets for the Monday some time ago and there was no mention of Cark Parking Permits, I have just checked again – at no point in the process was I offered Car Parking.
No it’s not misleading — look at the IWM website .I am just giving out the same information i had received to save people trouble when they arrive.
By: trumper - 31st May 2019 at 18:23
What about if you’re a Sally B member, how do you go about tickets?
My friend is a Sally B Member ,he rang up Duxford and he had to d/load the permits from the IWM members site,i would ring Duxford as he did.

I’m coming on Wednesday – having not been to an airshow since the car park chaos at one of the 1990s Spitfire shows – presumably the A505 and M11 will be equally snarled up whichever way I come from?
