Can anybody help with a manual for a CHT test set- Sangamo Weston Model S77, 6C/518. We have the test set but it requires calibration.

I have what you require. Currently travelling so can not provide documentation for another 10 days or so. PM me and I will send when able. Documentation advises current values in various test modes and general how to use.

I’ve just spent a good deal of time getting a pre WW2 CHT working but couldn’t find a suitable specific to type test set. So I used a precision power supply to check out gauge response then matched this to an available K type Thermocouple. It did require a slight change to the internal ballast resistance, and with this done, it performed quite nicely on bench test (It was originally matched to a type J, but with the K the cold junction compensation was quite reasonable). The AP recommends it’s set up on the engine, so that’s next.
