The newly formed Christchurch Aero Club planned in 1950 to use the fuselage of a Horsa (believed to be RN371) as a clubhouse. The aircraft was located on the south side of the airfield adjacent to Bure Lane.
Can anyone confirm the aircraft identity ….and has anyone got (or even seen) a photo of it in situ?

Looked through my photos of Horsa fuselage wrecks but sorry, nothing from Christchurch. Can confirm that RN371 was built as a complete airframe at Christchurch and should have been delivered to the RAF in 1945. So no impossible it had returned to the factory for repairs, modifications and was then struck off charge post-war there and available locally.
