30 Years ago this evening, Pan American World Airways Flight 103 was blown up by a terrorist bomb over Lockerbie in Scotland.
259 people were killed on the plane, with a further 11 on the ground.
On this day let us remember those killed, and give a thought to their families, still living with their loss today.

I remember turning the TV on at my mothers (I was back from RAFG for Xmas) and seeing the news flash on Ceefax “Jumbo Jet Crashes in Scotland”. A terriable night. RIP the innocent, the guilty can burn in hell and are doing so now.

There’s something to me very poignant about the opening shot of this video, the one visible before you press play. The lady with the broom facing the unfaceable the only way she can.
