Manston Spitfire and Hurricane

Are they still owned by the RAF? The Spitfire always was the Gate Guard. It would seem that all bar one of the IIc variants are still with the RAF.

Never got a chance to go back, I remember it was a fantastic museum when I visited in the 1990s.

As a little cadet in August 1992 I was able to sit in the cockpit of the Spitfire for about 5 minutes. I was in absolute heaven!

They belong to the RAF Museum and are inspected annually.
