Taken far to young, one hopes his aircraft collection will continue, condolences to his family.

Some fantastic airplane collection he had and so nicely restored and displayed in flight.
I liked how he did stuff to enjoy for the public: His music museum and the library in Seattle, the airplane collection, the cinema and program, I think a music festival as well. Somebody who shared his passions.
Hopefully Stratolaunch will fly.

It looks as if Paul Allen will continue to contribute through his established concerns. A remarkable man who achieved much, especially in the field of warbirds.

just one aside from aviation, he was able to organise the recovery of the bell from HMS Hood, his contribution to all fields of WW2 history will be missed

Hard to imagine we’d have an airworthy original FW190 and IL-2 by now if not for Paul Allen – RIP…

Very saddened to read this as I woke this morning. As some on here know, I worked for a company that was heavily involved in the restoration of some of Pauls warbirds, and met him a couple of times. I am constantly amazed by what some people are able to fit into their lives – Paul achieved more than just about anybody else alive today. A remarkable man.
