As long as the pilot can open the door without scraping the Spitfire next to it then all is good. I’ve seen worse in Tesco car parks.

Great picture! It reminds me of another pic of a hanger at Eastleigh the night before one of the mass Spit flypasts over Southampton back in the 90’s, crammed with Spits, Hurri’s and even the TFC P38!

There was a time,(in the ‘modern’ preservation era ) when there were not twelve flying Spits in the whole country, never mind one hangar !, I am guessing early Eighties perhaps. RAF had four, two at Booker, Old Warden, G-AIDN, Doug Arnold maybe, and a few others…..
