I had the opportunity to visit the workshops of the APSS -Aviation Preservation Society of Scotland near East Fortune. This was the first time that I had seen their Strutter since they moved out of the Museum of Flight at East Fortune.
Basically the whole aircraft is one hand-crafted labour of love and I look forward, as they certainly do, to the day when it will fly.
I made an Adobe Spark presentation from the photos.

Missed your article first time round, Wallace. It really is an excellent write-up on the progress of the Sopwith. It looks fantastic and from Robert’s photo it looks very near completion. It’s going to be a wonderful sight when it takes to the air!

Tim mentioned that he was still spraying it but it looks even better now he’s got the job complete.

Well done Wallace, a really nice piece, and well illustrated. That would be a great article for the Vintage Aircraft Club magazine, now edited by our very own Consul. I hope he see this.
The Sopwith looks beautiful, and with luck they will not encounter some of the difficulties that some other Rotec operators have run into in recent times.
