I’ve been digging through the vaults and found my photos from the museum at Rio from 2004. It’s a great museum with a wide range of types – the stand out for me being the last remaining Fw58. Apologies for some of the photos – light conditions were challenging in some hangars and it was cramped at times in order to get so many aircraft in by the look of things. Here’s the first batch:

Here’s the last batch of photos. I’m afraid the light conditions got the better of some of them, so they’re included for what they are rather than the quality of photo. Unfortunately, the A26 Invader and P2 Neptune were too boxed in for photos, while the Nieva 42, Fairchild 22 and Fairchild 24 didn’t make the cut.

Further south at Porto Alegre there is a small museum dedicated to Varig.Unfortunaly it was only open on weekdays and I was working weekdays!!I found that the sole airframe was a DC3.

Very nice – thanks for posting! Love the Fw 58 and it’s always nice to see British types in foreign museums.
