Plessey PTR 61E VHF Set

Hi everyone

I am really getting down to the nuts n bolts of finding the last of the equipment fitted to my Auster WE552. I found that my airframe embodied Mod 403, which in Auster world means, (it seems) that I don’t use the Amplifier A1553 unit I thought I needed. That would explain why the photo of my cockpit taken in the late fifties/early 60’s shows the controller unit panel blanked off.

So now I have to try and locate one of these units and the associated long whip antenna associated with it.

Can anyone out there help?? I’ve got some friends looking over here in NZ but I am guessing I am more likely to find one through you guys in the UK. I am looking for one in mint condition, however I would be pleased just to locate one firstly.
