Very sad news that another warbird operator/pilot has lost his life in an accident.
It was Marty that had just purchased and shipped to the US the ex-Meteor Flight T.7, WA591.

My mistake, Consul, it is WA591. I’ll amend my post.
In my ignorance, I also spelt Marty’s surname incorrectly; it is Tibbitts, not Tibbets.

The Meteor which Marty bought was actually WA591. I met him several times during his training on it and when he collected it – great person, terrible loss.
