Was the serial BG934 ever allotted to an RAF aircraft and if so, are the remains extant?

It is/was under static restoration in Russia, unfortunately I can’t share the photos at present as they came via a third party.

So is it UK based Gordon? Do you have any pictures you’d care to share?

From the photos that I have the current restoration uses the original structure and therefore could only ever be static.

Is it likely to fly again?

The Form 78 states:
Type: Hurricane IIB
Contractor: Hawkers
Engine: Merlin XX
No. 29 MU (High Ercall) 27/11/41
No. 52 MU (Cardiff … Packing Unit) 7/12/41
Russia 9/12/41
(Text in brackets added by me for clarity)
Nothing more
I have some photos of it under restoration – any further information on its ownership would be much appreciated 🙂

According to Air Britain BG934 had no RAF history and was delivered to Russia 9.12.41. Presumably that’s the soc date in advance of the convoy sailing, and BG938 was the day before.

Typo now corrected from ‘24 to ‘34. I can see from your link Graham that it’s a 2b.
There’s a chap contacted me recently to say he has purchased the remains from Russia. I’m just sleuthing…

http://www.worldmilitair.com/serials/countries/uk/uni%20020%201105.pdf does not include it, which suggests that the serial was in a short black-out block, not used to confuse the enemy about production numbers. It was otherwise in a run of Gloster-built Mk.IIb.
