James. Yes, it is the Shoreham based Havard. The Vampire is operated by the Vampire Preservation Group and based at Bournemouth. The JP is registerd to Mark Grimshaw and the aircraft is based at North Weald.
Rob and Seafury fan. The B25 was doing one of his usual steep climbing turns. It is quite normal in his display (as you are probably aware) for the aircraft to look like it is banking over the 90 per cent verticle, perhaps he is this time. I think that the fact that he is turning away and doing this manoeuvre may make it a bit more dramatic in the pic. The time of display was just before 12pm so the sun would have been behind the crowd line to the left.
The aircraft was not overhead but he was quite high up. Even so, it is a big plane and you would have got it full frame (from top to bottom in an a frame) with a 400mm lens for most shots.
It is not necessarily easy to work out what the B25 is doing from a single image so I have posted all 11 shots I took in the pass. Here they are:
