We took a Puma to a show and one of the guys ( Ops Clerk) took a little table and chair and a huge bag, a bit later the pilot returned to get something out of the aircraft and he found he was doing a thriving business selling off expired charts and the military equivalent of Jepps that had just expired LOL. He had been told to erm get rid of them, so he was, eventually a donation to the tea swindle was agreed and he kept the rest, we wondered why he was eager to come as he had never been in the past.

Thanks for posting that Tony, as an item on the same page answers a question for me.
Many years ago when there were a couple of Harriers at Southend Airport for the airshow, some of the ground crew were raising
some money by selling compressor blades. I still have one of these which I bought for £1 🙂

Even more interesting are two of the objects offered to me by e-bay as “See what other people are watching”
An “aircraft (sic) nose cone” off a “royce rb211 jet engine”
and
“WW II (sic) Propeller From Griffon Powered Shackleton Plane” actually only the tip

Can’t help feeling the humble refrigerator would do the job without buying Avtur to feed it!
