Bowden Cable

I need help in find numerical size of Bowden cable from 1930-ish

It is a No. 24 cable using No. 4 nipples, caps, and stops. It is used on the mechanical brake system, so cable size from other Silver Biplanes would be good clue.

Any help or hints would be appreciated.
