I can’t really get behind conceptual art that requires an opening gambit “The idea is…” from the artist. Good art shouldn’t need a clear explanation, and surely some of the interpretation is up to the viewer?

Couldn’t this guy just claim to bury a MiG-21 and leave it at that? A cursory Google reveals that the artist previously dumped some jet engines in the grounds of the Gallery of Modern Art here in Edinburgh. I recall that ‘artwork’!!

He gets paid to bury things? Something anyone can do? I love the way these ‘artists’ milk the money out of stupid rich people!
