Seen a post on Twitter that seems to suggest that an airworthy F-86 will be based in France. Anyone know if this is the case?

Stored at Wroughton, not Duxford.

If it is N80FS it is a Sabre Mk6 ex Luftwaffe.
Was acquired by Ormond Haydon-Balllie shortly before he died, and it then spent the next few years stored at Duxford until going over to the USA, and eventually being operated for many years by Flight Systems.

The Mustang was shipped a couple weeks back via Antwerp harbor to the USA. N80FS is the Sabre that he has acquired

I don’t know about a F86 but there is now a T-33 in preparation to flying in the South-West of France. Last report (on Facebook) showed taxi runs. The plane was acquired in Canada.
On the other hand, the P51 “Moonbeam Mc Swine” looks to be heading back to the US, Someone (or group of peoples) wanted her back as a memorial for her previous owner Vlado Lenoch killed in the crash of the P51 Baby Duck and made a deal with her current owner.
From information (in french specialized press), an other plane was part of the deal but no information on the type at this point.

Seem to recall one of the magazines this month had a hint that an airworthy US Sabre was headed to Europe somewhere – It wasn’t the Golden Apple F-86A coming back, a later variant I think.
