Nice to see a tiny fraction of the RAF gun camera film I catalogued, over a period of almost ten years, now viewable online….
Back in 2011 I did make enquiries on here about a possible ‘blue-on-blue’ incident –

Saw that too RAFRochford, I think some of the Defiant footage was used in an ITV documentary a few years ago but the rest was completely new to me. There’s a surprising amount of colour footage in the archive, as well as the more usual B&W.
I’ve been watching through several reels of RAF gun cam footage, and it is rather alarming to see the number of blue-on-blue incidents! Have seen several clips so far of Hurri’s being misidentified as 109’s and being shot at, and even a Spit. Sobering stuff.

Did anyone catch the colour Battle of Britain period film showing defiants and a downed 109E and captured pilot? Priceless stuff.

There’s hours of entertainment here. There is an interesting section in a Southern Railways film showing the construction of Horsa Tailplanes in some detail which I know is the wrong end for you but….
I’m struggling with the quality of the film but are there two Hadrians? one with a yellow nose and one without but both with prototype markings?
Which begs the question are you going to tell Santiago/Raul or shall I?

Good catch aeronut. But can we talk about the yellow nose on the Hadrian which I’d never seen before? :applause:

I had a quick look last night. I never imagined that I’d see film of a Slingsby Hengist in flight but there it was at the top of the search result.
