Vulcan Bomber Cockpit Martin Baker's Chalgrove 1980s

I’m hoping that one of the mysteries in my collection will be solvable. In 1987, I went to a scrapyard near Benson and found a cockpit that has been chopped into 6ft squares. I saved the windscreen unit. Anyway, the cockpit was originally at Chalgrove with MB for a rear crew escape system. If anyone knows any possible contenders for the serial number, I’d be grateful. Cheers

The use of the nose section by MB is mentioned in this detailed commentary on the V bomber crew escape arguements.

Cheers that is a great start. Now I need to account for B1 aircraft cut up prior to 1974.

It is first noted in WW 4th edition Aug 1974, states noted outside late 1973 is the nose section of a Vulcan. Hope this helps Tony.

Noted in ten but I guess Chalgrove access has never been too easy. Pre edition eight are what you need to look at.
