RAF Dallachy aircraft part recovered

hello all, discovered by a fellow metal detectorist I went to outskirts of RAF Dallachy. Would anyone recognise what aircraft it may be off? so eager to know. on the serials list 37 says its Spitfire mk3 but this part is 37A so may be off something else?

That’s a much smaller BTH mag (a KC2U unit as it happens). So obviously this is a bigger mag your part has come from, but it’s pretty clear the standard of construction is very similar, and as you can see, a repeat of the 37ACX part number.

British Thomson Houston.

Actually, it’s 37ACX which is a part of a BTH magneto.
