This is the lower end of an He111 rudder trim tab as shown in this image.
http://www.warbirdphotographs.com/LCBW/He111-H6-MG17-Tailgun-17.jpg
It was being sold in Russia -so the machine we must assume was lost there.
The data plate says it is an He 111 4 3270.
There was an He111 H4 werknummer 3270.
However according to this report the aircraft was lost over Holland in 1941 with an 80% damage rate.

So either this part was from the 20% recovered and reused on a machine subsequently lost on the Eastern Front Or
The 4 and 3270 are not related to the werknummer and model.

On another forum I found that the He111.313.38 – the first 3 refers to movable controls on wing elevator/rudder so confirms the location.

Either way, it is barely worth more than scrap metal, not even close to the Euro 200.
(an offer of e30 may be snapped up quick)

Brian I agree that is the only other scenario.
The only way to verify it is from a parts catalogue.

I would think most likely that is simply the part serial number on the rudder piece, and not the machines werkno.
