Vintage Propeller Hub With Reduction Gear.

Pick up thus Hub at a Classic Car show last year from a guy selling car and aero parts.

Took it to the Museum I volunteer at and cleaned it up and then found there were absolutely no marking or numbers on the inside or outside if it.

Question is…..what is it from????

Some thought it may have been from a Pobjoy engine but I sent the photos the The Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden and the thought the same but could find
nothing like it in their record.

So I am stumped!!! Does anyone out there have a clue or some possible suggestions??

Defineitly not Cherub. I am almost finished my Cherub (series 3, so late model) and they are all ungeared , very much the same animal as the J.A.P J99

Doesn’t look like a Pobjoy, no cooling fins…what about a Douglas twin or a Cherub?
