Hi all, back after a lengthy absence and now working for Manchester Airport in T3!

It seems (from reading Pprune mostly) that the competition from the US airlines may have brought about the end of the BA flight, not to mention bmi with it’s links via the Star Alliance with United etc.

The downsizing of BA at Manchester has been naturally dramatic, but outside of the somewhat monopolosied London airports, just where can they fight toe-to-toe with other operators in the UK?

Seems to me that British Airways are merely retreating to where they can operate a comfortable profit.
