Has anyone got a clue as to what is going on with the Lanc photoshoot at East Kirkby

Not sure why that is, the refund should go straight out and not be pending at all! It’s all done this end so there’s nothing more we can do to speed it up. I’ve not known a pending time in the past. Surely it can’t be anything to do with the bank holiday? Perhaps something to do with paying by PayPal (if you did?)
We notified everyone as soon as the decision was made in case people had hotels etc booked with cut off dates amd we processed the refubd as soon as we could while organising ready for the bank holiday event.

Hmmm cancelled before the 24th, fine, can live with that, refund processed on the 26th fine, though should have been done on the day of the cancellation really, but refund pending and expected on the 4th of September! Hmmmmmmmm.. that’s at the least 12 days to refund from cancellation..

I would say try and split them further apart, it’s probably only a limited market and two events at the same venue so close together means that they are competing against each other, for what it’s worth I thought yours was a better varied mix, hence why I bought a ticket and yes I do realise before anyone says it, it’s no good holding one in the summer as we would still be waiting at 2 am for it to get dark. 🙂

If you plan one again, please advertise it on here, I would also suggest you plug it on a few photographic sites too. After all, better you getting a better slice of the pie than a third party.

Sadly there wasn’t enough interest in the event to hold it. The costs for it were high due to us bringing in a Seafire, Harvard and Bestmann along with a Stearman and Tiger Moth. We thought we’d try to offer something a little different to the Timeline events that are held but sadly we didn’t sell even half of the tickets so nowhere near close to covering costs. Perhaps another year. Thank you for your interest.

No wonder they cannot shift the tickets for it, there are two events in as many months, I would imagine most that would attend have already signed for this event, what is worse is I think the home run effort would have had a great selection of aircraft on offer…. Sigh..ohh well. Just a shame they didnt mention I could go to the later show when I phoned up.

This looks like they were going it alone and I suppose there wasn’t enough publicity, timeline do a lot of them, so people pick up on other events when browsing what they are doing, gutted is a word.
I was really looking forward to it, I know they do a night run at the firework show, but there is a difference when you have a few thousand trying to get a decent look and 150 phoographers that tend to work with each other.

I thought previous events were popular enough?

Cancelled, not enough interest Sigh… didn’t seem to be advertised much though so I can understand it, didn’t they go through an events company previously?

At work at the moment, so haven’t phoned them yet , asked here as another forumite is going at least, they might know.
