Whilst I know the details of the aircraft, its ownership etc., what is the story, here?
I think this is Portslade – but no idea of circumstances or back story.
Just came across this in a massive tidy/cull of office content and archives.
One for Avion Ancien, perhaps, when he next pops by this way?

I’ve now got a stick neck from trying to view that photograph in its 90º rotated portrait format!
Is it the Portland Road on the Co-Op van that makes you think that it’s Portslade? Assuming that the building behind the Dragon is a hangar, I can’t think of anywhere in Portslade that such a building is or has been. But I don’t claim to be an authority on Portslade. Maybe try posting the image on the Sussex History website?

DH 84 Dragon G-AEKZ . Originally registered to Misr in Egypt. Returned to Airwork Ltd and then to The Hon Mrs Victor Bruce’s Air Dispatch Ltd Croydon. Impressed a AW163, July 1940, Crashed into fence at Castle Bromwich 1940. The above seems to be an earlier accident to the Stbd wing.
