someone asked me what this is from.. apparently old and english, does anyone know?

Definitely a militarised Proctor… Possibly a Proctor II judging by the bottom starboard supplementary instrument position.
The right-hand pic shows a Proctor III with updated instrumentation.

Very close to a Proctor III . All military gauge fit, strong candidate.
