I’m in the middle of repainting the Mystere at Dumfries, but I need to know what is written in yellow on the big black rectangular decal below the cockpit. I can make out the outline, so I know the size, but the text eludes me. Can some kind soul post a picture of this and the ejection warning triangle for me please? I’d like to get these details correct.

Avions Anciens – that looks like a book I need in my life. Any idea where I can get a copy?
Unfortunately you may have to wait until the end of 2018 (q.v. http://www.aerostories.org/~aeroforums/forumhist/aff.php?nummsg=72158)

Jur, that’s a mirror image of ours – we have the yellow arrow to the left on the starboard side, but I have seen quite a few variations.

As said in my first post. It’s APPUYER, not APPUIER

Johnny, I have photos from No.83 at NAM – different text each side. NAM also has PDF file of sizing etc. that can be made available if it helps. PM an email address as per earlier post.

Extreme enlargement of a part of a photo of the NELSAM Mystere:

Text as follows
1. BRISER LA GLACE
2. S’ECARTER ET APPUIER
SUR LE BOUTON
In the Danger Triangle I can’t quite read the text, except DANGER on three sides on white. In the middle red part probably something like SIEGE EJECTABLE.

Johnny, when I am at Newark later I will take a photo of the markings on No.83, they have remained constant since collection from RAF Sculthorpe in 1978. Please send me an email address by PM and I will send them direct – at present I would struggle to upload them here.

No doubt you’d find the answer in this …..

I think
1. Briser la glace
2. s’écarter et appuyer sur le bouton
The yellow arrow says “sauvetage”
I think the ejection triangle just says “danger” on the white outside and “siege ejectable” on the red inside
